Where is the Schengen Area?

Schengen Countries List

Currently, the Schengen Area consists of 26 member countries. All of these countries are located in Europe

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.

NOTE: Also out of the Schengen countries, four countries are not members of the European Union. These countries include Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Iceland, and Norway.

These 4 countries are known as countries that are associated with the Schengen activities of the EU.

These countries are obliged to accept the decisions made by the EU, even though they are not a part of it. Two of these non-European union members, Norway and Iceland, are members of the Nordic Passport Union.
